Method
  1. Heat the oven to 180°C and line a loaf tin.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar until pale, then add the eggs one at a time.
  3. Fold in the flour and lemon zest, then spoon into the tin.
  4. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until a skewer comes out clean.
  5. Stir the lemon juice and sugar together and spoon over the cake while it's still warm.
“She always said the drizzle goes on while the cake is still warm — and that the crunchy top is the best bit.”

Questions

How do I print the cards?

Print the cards PDF at 100% (“actual size”), double-sided, on matte cardstock — 110 lb or 300 gsm works well in most home printers. Cut along the crop marks with a craft knife and ruler, or take the PDF to any print shop and ask for the cards trimmed to size; the bleed is already there.

Can I add more recipes after I pay?

Yes. A Set of 12 has twelve recipe slots and the cookbook bundle has thirty. Fill them whenever you find another card in the tin — each time you save, you get fresh PDFs and the earlier versions stay in your pack.

Can I use a photo of Grandma's handwritten card?

Yes. Upload a photo in the Recipe step and we read the writing into the fields for you. Check every line before you continue — old handwriting can fool anyone.

Is it good as a gift?

It's made for it. The cookbook bundle adds spine labels, six section dividers and a gift note card, all matching. Print a set for each person, or send them the PDF so they can print their own.

Who can see our family recipes?

Only you. Recipes live in your account, private to you — we never publish or share them. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time.

What if I make a typo?

Open your pack, choose Edit next to the recipe, fix it and save. New PDFs are ready straight away.
